Before you kick him to the curb...

1) hire an attorney - you can't do this all by yourself no matter how strong you are (and family doesn't count)
2) if you kick your partner out - be sure to have his/her bags packed because once you tell him there's no telling what will go in his suitcase or boxes
3) if you're the one that's leaving - don't think that you can always go back and get what you want or need. Once you're gone there's little to no chance you get one single item left behind so have whatever you want already out of the house (this includes children).
